The constructed of Chenab Bridge at a cost of Rs.1250 crore., the 1.3 kilometeres long bridge is located 359 meters above the bed river chenab. And it is hihger than the 35 meters of Eiffel Tower in Pairs .
It is located on a transition curve with chaging radius. This is the first time a bridge is built in transition curve bulit.Chenab Bridge is important because, the bridge is forms the crucial link on the 111 kilometers strect between Katra and Baramulla, which is the part of the USBRL under the section of the kashmir Railway Project.
Chenab Bridge length will be 1315 meter and bridge height will be 359 meter above the bed level. it was weight over all of the arch is 10619 MT. Construction of the bridge involved fabrication of 28660 MT steel, 10 lakh cum Earthwork, 66000cum concrete, and 26 km motorable roads.
