Legendary singer LATA MANGESHKAR one of our Indians biggest cultural icons has died at age of 92.The “star”died of multiple organ failure at the Breach candy hospital in Mumbai after she was admitted on 11th January with covid-19.
She revered as the “Melody Queen, Nightingale
of India, Bharath Ratna Awardee”.

Personal details: Born in 1929, september28 in the central Indian
city of Indore.Lata was eldest of 5 siblings in a musical family.Two of her
sisters have also been noted play back artists in the Indian film industry. She
remained unmarried all her life.She revealed in a 2013 interview that she
valued finding inner happiness with in oneself more than marriage and children.
CAREER:
The “STAR” having begun singing on stage just 9. At
aged 13 she acted in a Marathi film and had some small roles in hindi cinema, but
singing was her passion.
She went on to perform an estimated
15,000 songs in more than a dozen languages.Her career spanned nearly
“6”decades.
Her career defining moment came in epic Historical “Mughal–e-Azam”
a romantic tragedy that was released in 1960.
The films iconic song “pyar kiya tho darna
kya”is consider one of the defining songs of bollywood films.Her songs Aye mere
watan ke log honours Indian soldiers who died in 1962 war with China, is only
second to the India’s National Anthem.

than 500 films or considered classics including :AYEGA
